Kid Ambush

So technically this is not Isaac Anthony related, but I can imagine, hopefully, that Isaac Anthony would do something like this.

I drive home through the back woods of New Hampshire and central Massachusetts. There are a lot of bending roads and old farm houses. One house, in particular, has three young boys. I see them waiting for the bus all of the time. Well, as I approach this house, I always slow down. The kids, plus the extreme turn in the road, make this mandatory a safety precaution.

Last night, with the huge piles of thrown snow on the side of the road, I thought for a brief second, that I saw someone walk across the road. I slowed to an almost stop. Then from behind one particularly large snow pile I saw the three boys spring up, armed with snow balls. They pelted the Corolla and then, like the Wild Things in the book, threw their hands up in the air and danced around in the snow laughing and whooping. I could not help but laugh as sped up and drove by. Their plan had worked and they probably hit the Corolla about a dozen times with their weapons of choice.

Kids make everything fun, even a snowstorm and a long commute. Isaac, I can't wait.
