Ethan at One Month
So Ethan was technically one month old on Friday, but GG's passing necessitated a delay on his One Month birthday post and it was a good thing because the pedi visit was today.
First, the facts:
Ethan weighs 11 pounds and 1 ounce, a dramatic increase from his birth weight of 8 pounds even.
Ethan is 23 inches long.
Ethan still has jaundice, but the doctor is not concerned about it. His liver enzymes are elevated, but that is normal for a jaundiced breast fed baby.
Ethan is also spacing out his feedings at night...he usually gives Bianca from around 9 until 3 AM. Not STTN quite yet, but its good for a little chub chub.
And boy has he gotten chubby. Remember that little guy that looked like a red, wet rat when he was born (Nanna...don't write it...I know he was "so cute")? Well, Ethan ate him. And his brothers. Here is Ethan at birth:

He has also starting doing all sorts of cute baby things. He tracks stuff--mainly his crazy brother. He has smiled and not all of them were gas smiles. He also has started to display preferences (mainly laying on his belly) and complaining when those preferences aren't honored.
In all, it has been an amazing month with our Ethan Beethan. And, as always, Bianca is doing an amazing job. He has added something like 40% to his body weight in one month. She is a nursing machine.
