Coronation Day
The teachers at Isaac's school do a really good job on the curriculum, always varying what the kids are learning about and avoiding the dreaded "holiday curriculum" or the "weather curriculum." Last week Isaac's class studied the Middle Ages. They were fascinated by kings and queens (and the girls were especially excited about princesses). Isaac, however, latched on to a different thing. Isaac liked knights. We had just finished reading Robin Hood and were in the middle of The Three Musketeers when they started learning about knights so it is no wonder why he was fixated. On Thursday we learned there would be a coronation on Friday and so we had a day to prepare Isaac's knight costume. My budget was $10. I did it for $5.95. And here it is:
