Wild Playground Kid
Isaac's coordination is improving as fast as his language skills. One day he can't do something, the next he does it with ease. It is really shocking to see. So when we went to our local favorite playground for the first time this year, Isaac went nuts. He climbed up everything and slid down every slide. He even walked up them (with Mom or Dad's help).
But with great power comes great responsibility. Isaac's coordination improvements have not been accompanied by improvements in his risk assessment. The boy will run, tackle, or climb just about everything. As a result he has as many bruises and cuts as he had when he was first learning to walk. It is brutally painful to watch him collect these tokens of daring, but whenever you ask if he is okay and wants to go inside, he shakes them off and keeps going.
